PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base-isolated structure which can effectively reduce construction costs by simplifying a predetermined installation of a deformation restraining means for restraining excessive horizontal deformation of a base-isolating means while relaxing it under tensile deformation, so as to enable its on-site construction in such a manner that the number of manhours for work is set small and so as to facilitate its on-site construction. SOLUTION: In this base-isolated structure, a base-isolating means 3, which bears the weight of the structure by being fixed to either of a foundation 1 for a structure and the structure 2 constructed on the foundation, and the deformation restraining means 10 for restraining the excessive horizontal deformation of the base-isolating means 3 while relaxing it under the tensile deformation are provided between the foundation 1 and the structure 2. The deformation restraining means 10 is connected to foundation-side and structure-side mounting face plates 6 and 8 of the base-isolating means 3 in such a manner as to have an initial sag capable of being tensioned before the amount of the horizontal displacement of the base-isolating means 3 reaches a limit.
