PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metallic glass article, which can cope easily and quickly with all sizes and three-dimensional shapes of the metallic glass articles. SOLUTION: The method for producing the metallic glass article comprises basically a first step of piling up powdery metallic glass 3 to the predetermined height to form a metallic glass layer and a second step of irradiating a predetermined portion of the formed metallic glass layer with laser beam to locally superheat, melt and re-solidify the metallic glass in the portion irradiated with laser beam so that the metallic glass article having a desired solidified shape of the predetermined thickness is produced. The first step and the second step are repeated alternately to produce the metallic glass article having the desired three-dimensional shape from metallic glass. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
