PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stall detecting device for accurately detecting stall without increasing its cost. SOLUTION: The stall detecting device is provided with: a stress sensor 3 for acquiring the stress of a body; an inertia device 4 for acquiring the acceleration of the body; a required lift component acquiring part 13 for acquiring required lift in accordance with the acceleration; a lift component calculating part 14 for acquiring actual lift from the stress acquired by the stress sensor 3 and the acceleration acquired by the inertia device 4; and a comparison part 15 for comparing the required lift acquired by the required lift component acquiring part 13 with the actual lift acquired by the lift component calculating part 14 to detect the stall of the body. The stress sensor 3 acquires stress without being exposed to the outside of the body as in a strain gauge. Hence, it acquires adequate stress without the need for a preventing means for preventing the clogging of foreign matters or the collision with the foreign matters.
