PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking type mobile agricultural machine having a rear cover which can cover backward of a rotary tiller for tilling operation, and easily and conveniently carrying out turning operation in switching posture of the rear cover. SOLUTION: The walking type mobile agricultural machine includes: a handle 7 for steering operation, the rotary tiller 4 for tilling operation, the rear cover 18 vertically-movably supported on the rearward of the rotary tiller 4, and is configured that the posture is switchable between a covering posture to cover rearward of the rotary tiller 4 by turning the rear cover 18 to an under position and an opening posture by turning to upper position to make the rear of the rotary tiller 4 open, wherein a switching device which carries out switching of the cover posture between a covering posture and an opening posture of the rear cover 18, is installed at a position apart from the rear cover 18.
