PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that is required for a material having a high electric conductivity and a high strength that can be used as a connector material, i.e., an alloy which has little effect on humans and is made of inexpensive materials and thus can replace a copper-beryllium alloy that is conventionally used but has disadvantages of high cost and potential of allergen attributed to beryllium, and associated with titanium, which is a material useful as an additive element to impart strength to copper but has a poor electrical conductivity. SOLUTION: By performing aging treatment in a hydrogen atmosphere at a temperature of <500°C, hydrogen is incorporated into a copper-titanium alloy so as to obtain a copper-titanium-hydrogen alloy exhibiting strength higher than that of copper and conductivity higher than that of the conventional copper-titanium alloy.
