A method for avoiding service router overload is provided by the present invention, which comprises the following steps: a first service router receiving a service request message (S101); determining that the service state corresponding to the said service request message is a new service request and itself has no resources to handle the said service request message, then sending resource request messages to neighboring service routers of the first service router (S102); receiving resource response messages which are returned according to the said resource request messages from the neighboring service routers having resources to handle the said service request message (S103); sending resource deployment messages and the said service request message to the said neighboring service routers which return the resource response messages, so that the said neighboring service routers which return the resource response messages may handle the said service request message (S104). Under the circumstances that the service traffic of the first service router increases suddenly or continuously, the invention ensures that service router overload is avoided, and it does not result in the failure of the local service routers, thus it guarantees the convenience and high efficiency of service interaction.
