The method involves identifying a client, and configuring a port filter. Port forwarding (53) is configured, and name-address-transformation lists are provided. Data traffic is conveyed according to configuration of the port filter and provision of the name-address-transformation lists. Configuration of the port filter and the port forwarding are restored according to a data flow of a communication screen, where a hyperlink list represents the name-address-transformation lists. Links are directed to a public Internet protocol address of an internal network. An independent claim is also included for a device for providing secure communication between an external network and an internal network, comprising a packet filter.
