The method involves applying plastic powder (3) such as polyamide or polypropylene powder on a substrate (1) or on a partly-solidified layer (2). The powder is solidified by focused energy input selectively and locally to form molded body structures. The layer thickness (2') is selected small such that the energy input directly pressurizes the underlying partly-solidified layer and/or the substrate through gaps (5) of the layer. A connection of the layer with the underlying layer and/or the substrate is obtained by melting the layer and/or the substrate with direct irradiation of energy input. An independent claim is also included for a molded body comprising a laminated structure.
