<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing ink composition with which the blockage of a nozzle is dissolved, and with which quality of printed matter is improved, and to provide the printed matter printed by using the printing ink. <P>SOLUTION: The printing ink composition including a compound represented by general formula (1): R<SB>1</SB>-(R<SB>2</SB>-)N-C(=A)-R<SB>4</SB>-O-R<SB>3</SB>, and the printed matter printed by using the printing ink are claimed. In formula (1), R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>, and R<SB>3</SB>are mutually independently 1-8C alkyl groups, and R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>, and R<SB>3</SB>are optionally linear or branched.
