<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition containing a new protein, and a method for diagnosis and treatment of immune-related diseases by using the composition. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a PRO polypeptide stimulating or inhibiting immune reactions in mammals, its agonist and antagonist; a method for identifying the agonist or antagonist of the PRO polypeptide including a step of bringing the PRO polypeptide into contact with a candidate molecule, and a step of monitoring biological activity mediated by the PRO polypeptide; a composition to be mixed with a carrier or an excipient, and containing the PRO polypeptide or an agonist or antagonist antibody binding with the PRO polypeptide; and a method for treatment of immune-related diseases of mammals comprising administration of the mammal with an active amount of the PRO polypeptide and its agonist or antagonist. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
