PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorptive article which is excellent in handleability when attached and detached, and is capable of sufficiently demonstrating the absorption performance of an absorption polymer without obstructing the swelling of the absorption polymer by the absorption of excreted liquid. SOLUTION: The absorptive article 1 includes a folded bag member 11, the absorption polymer housed inside the bag member 11, and a bonding part 13 for keeping the bag member 11 in a folded state. The bag member 11 is formed of a liquid permeable sheet, has a housing space closed from the outside, and is folded on at least one folding line crossing the housing space. The absorption polymer has a roughly granular or roughly powder form, and is put inside the housing space of the bag member 11 in the state of being freely movable inside the housing space.
