PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic transistor having high mobility, a large current on/off ratio, and excellent storage stability. SOLUTION: The organic transistor has an organic semiconductor layer which contains at least one kind of composition represented by a general formula (1). In the formula, X<SB>1</SB>-X<SB>8</SB>each independently represent hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, straight-chain, branched or cyclic alkyl, straight-chain, branched or cyclic alkoxy, straight-chain, branched or cyclic alkoxyalkyl, or substituted or unsubstituted aryl, a ring A represents a benzene ring, a thiophene ring, a benzo[b]thiophene ring, a thienothiophene ring or an indole ring, and a ring B represents a substituted or unsubstituted thiophene ring, a benzo[b]thiophene ring, a thienothiophene ring, or an indole ring.
