PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making a heater automatically contact to an object to be heated by utilizing thermal expansion to effectively heating it when temperature rises upon use, even though there exists a gap so as to facilitate setting of the object to be heated when the temperature is low. SOLUTION: Fixing points of metal fittings are arranged on a sheath of the heater on mutually opposite sides so as to thermally extend to mutually opposite directions, and the metal fittings capable of transforming axial displacements due to thermal expansion into displacements in directions orthogonal to the directions of the axial thermal extension are mounted on the sheath. Thus, the heater can automatically and closely contact to the object to be heated when temperature of the metal fittings themselves rises, and the heater can separate from the object when the metal fittings are cooled down.
