PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersion nozzle having a structure of blowing a gas from the inner wall to the inner hole of the nozzle, in which the blowing amount of the gas on the cross-sectional face in a gas-blowing region can be uniformized or intentionally changed so as to increase the effect for the prevention of the sticking of inclusions or the like to the inner wall. SOLUTION: In the immersion nozzle 10 for continuous casting, a permeable refractory 2 is arranged at a part of the inner wall facing the inner hole 1 to be a molten steel flow passage, and a gas is blown from the permeable refractory 2 to the inner hole 1, a first hollow chamber 4 is provided at the outer circumferential side of the permeable refractory 2, separately from the first hollow chamber 4, a second hollow chamber 5 is provided in a hardly permeable refractory having permeability relatively lower than that of the permeable refractory, the first hollow chamber 4 and the second hollow chamber 5 are communicated by a plurality of through-holes 6 between the hollow chambers, and further, the second hollow chamber 5 and a gas feed port 7 are communicated by a gas feed passage 8.
