PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building position confirmation method effectively avoiding a great error of a building position by managing a position of a site or a building, based on information of a latitude and a longitude measured by using a GPS receiving device. SOLUTION: This building position confirmation method of a building uses the GPS receiving device 10 and a computer 13 which a drawing generation software is built in. A position coordinate by a latitude and a longitude of a reference point P0 is measured by the GPS receiving device 10 and dropped onto a site chart on the drawing generation software during survey of the site 20, and each latitude and longitude of main points P1, P2, ... on a residence building or on the site chart designed on the drawing generation software are calculated and stored in the computer 13. In installation of a ground rope or a batter board, the GPS receiving device 10 is installed on the same spot as the reference point P0 or the main points P1, P2, ... stored in the computer 13, and the position coordinate by the latitude and the longitude is measured, to thereby confirm the position of the ground rope or the batter board.
