COMPACT SELF-BALLASTED FLUORESCENT LAMP AND LUMINAIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-ballasted fluorescent lamp for securing enough fixing strength between an arc tube and a holder.

SOLUTION: An adhesive filling part is provided for filling an adhesive between each straight-tube part 33 of the arc tube 14 inserted into each support hole 43, at either side of each support hole 43 in a direction crossing the direction in which the pair of support holes 43 are arrayed inside a holder 15. Further, a cross-section shape of the straight-tube part 33 of the arc tube 14 is so formed that a direction in which the pair of straight-tube parts 33 are arrayed is to be longer than a direction crossing that direction.
