<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display capable of suppressing a display color which is in a white state from becoming yellowish. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 100 includes: a TFT substrate 1; a pixel electrode 18 provided on the side of the TFT substrate 1; a common electrode 16, which is provided on the side of the TFT substrate 1 and faces the pixel electrode 18 with an insulating film 17 therebetween; a counter substrate 2, which is disposed so as to face the TFT substrate 1 and provided with color filters 22; a liquid crystal layer 30; a plurality of sub-pixels 51, 52, and 53 provided respectively to red, green, and blue color filters 22 respectively; a spacer 24 which is, in plan view, disposed in contact with a boundary region A between the red sub-pixel 51 and the green sub-pixel 52 adjacent to each other; and a light-shielding part 60 for the spacer 24 which, in plan view, shields the spacer 24 and its periphery from light and partially covers the red sub-pixel 51 and the green sub-pixel 52. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
