METHOD AND DEVICE OF TREATING PCB

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method and a treatment device of simple structure and simple operation capable of treating PCB (polychlorobiphenyl) in safety by gasifying it at a low temperature of about 200°C by the electronized air including active oxygen species such as singlet oxygen to suppress generation of extremely-poisonous dioxin.

SOLUTION: In this treatment method of PCB, PCB(α) is supplied to a reactor 1 including a stirring machine 2 and a bed material, vapor (γ) is mixed in the electronized air (β) generated from an air electronizing device 9 composed of combination of a discharge needle and an electromagnetic induction coil to prepare the active air (δ) heated to about 200°C, and the active air is supplied to the reactor to hydrolyze and dechlorinate PCB by oxidation power of the heated active air, and the hydrolyzed matter (gaseous substance) is burned at a high temperature of 800°C or more to suppress generation of dioxin.
