<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device capable of suppressing difference in illumination brightness upon dimming even when driving circuits having the different numbers of light-emitting diodes are equipped. <P>SOLUTION: The illumination device is equipped with a first light source portion 1 having a plurality of the light-emitting diodes connected in series in order to illuminate an illuminated object, a second light source portion 2 connected in parallel with the first light source portion 1 and having the light-emitting diodes connected in series in order to illuminate the illuminated object and fewer in the number than those of the first light source portion 1, a dimming means 7 to adjust the illumination output generated by the first and second light source portions 1, 2, and a control means 6 by which the first and second light source portions 1, 2 are controlled using different pulse width modulations, respectively based on signals from the dimming means 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
