PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact power supply system capable of extending a battery service life without degrading usability, by an increase in starting time or the like. SOLUTION: A charger 200 includes a coil 203 generating electromagnetic waves of a specific frequency through electromagnetic induction, and a communicating section 204 communicating with a portable device 100 by radio to transmit electromagnetic waves generated by the coil 203. The portable device 100 includes a radio power supply IC 112 provided independently from a battery side power supply IC using a battery 113, and a communication antenna 172 for detecting the electromagnetic waves of the specific frequency and receiving power. The portable device 100 further includes a communicating section 171 communicating with the charger 200 by radio, and a CPU 121 performing the entire control. The CPU 121 generates power from the radio power supply IC 112, when the communication antenna 172 detects the electromagnetic waves of the specific frequency in an optional operation mode in a plurality of operation modes of the portable device 100.
