PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display medium in which degradation in display characteristics of a liquid crystal layer is suppressed compared with a conventional one, and to provide a writing apparatus, a display device and a method of manufacturing the display medium. SOLUTION: In the display medium 12, a resin layer 21 comprising a water dispersion type resin is provided between the liquid crystal layer 17 and a light absorbing layer 19, concretely, between a laminate layer 18 and the light absorbing layer 19.
