The galvanizing tool comprises a beaker for receiving an electrolyte, a holding device (10) having a fixture (12) for fixing the holding device opposite to the beaker, a thread holder (14) and an anode holder (16), a lid for locking the beaker when the fixture is not fastened to the beaker, and a first clip for fastening the thread to the thread holder and a second clip for fixing the thread to the thread holder, where the thread holder is implemented for immersing the ends of the thread into the electrolyte and for connecting the thread with a cathode connection. The galvanizing tool comprises a beaker for receiving an electrolyte, a holding device (10) having a fixture (12) for fixing the holding device opposite to the beaker, a thread holder (14) and an anode holder (16), a lid for locking the beaker when the fixture is not fastened to the beaker, and a first clip for fastening the thread to the thread holder and a second clip for fixing the thread to the thread holder, where the thread holder is implemented for immersing the ends of the thread into the electrolyte and for connecting the thread with a cathode connection and the anode holder is implemented for immersing the anode into the electrolyte and for connecting the anode with an anode connection. The fixture is suited for locking the beaker, has an opening (20) for passing the thread, and is implemented for attaching to the beaker. The fixture has a fabric and the beaker has a counter-thread, where the fixture is screwable to the beaker. The fixture has a connection for connecting the cathode connection and the anode connection to a power source. The lid is implemented for screwing or fixing to the beaker. The thread is pressed through the first clip for producing an electrical connection to the cathode connection, and is fixable for immersing into the electrolyte through the second clip into a groove in the thread holder. The galvanizing tool has a third clip identically constructed to the first clip for fastening the anode to the anode holder, where the anode is pressed through the third clip for producing an electrical connection to the anode connection. An independent claim is included for a method for galvanizing a thread with a galvanizing tool.
