CATALYST FOR PURIFYING EXHAUST GAS AND HONEYCOMB CATALYTIC STRUCTURE FOR EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for an exhaust gas capable of efficiently performing exhaust gas purification and a honeycomb catalytic structure for exhaust gas purification by improving catalyst performance with regard to an exhaust gas purification catalyst that uses a silica mesoporous body.

SOLUTION: The exhaust gas purifying catalyst containing one kind of metal ion or more selected out of Al, Ti, V, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ce, Mg, Fe, or La in pore internal walls of the silica mesoporous body and supporting platinum in pore external walls of the silica mesoporous body, is provided.
