PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction of writing speed even when overwriting the whole file. SOLUTION: When this NAS (Network Attached Storage) apparatus 10 receives a file size change request to a file 180 from a computer 20a of an access request source, the NAS apparatus 10 creates, in a file system 16a having high access frequency not but in a file system 16b wherein a file 181 that is substance of the file 180 is present, a new file 182 related to the file 181, executes association between the new file 182 and the file 180, deletes the file 181 on the condition that the files have been associated, and thereafter executes writing processing of data to the new file 182 subject to reception of a data writing request to the file 180 from the access request source.
