PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the timing deviation between a voltage signal supplied to a voltage control amplifier and a transmission signal in a power amplifying device. SOLUTION: The power amplifying device includes: an amplifier; a voltage control section that controls a voltage signal, supplied to the amplifier, according to a transmission signal; and a distortion-compensating section that executes distortion compensation processing to the transmission signal, by previously giving reverse characteristics of the input-to-output characteristics of the amplifier to the transmission signal. The device amplifies the output signal of the distortion-compensating section, by inputting the output signal to the amplifier; the device also includes: an amplitude detecting section that detects amplitude of the transmission signal; and a timing adjusting section that adjusts timing of the output signal of the distortion-compensating section and that of the voltage signal so as to reduce the amplitude of the output signal of the distortion compensating section, with respect to the transmission signal when a detected value of the amplitude of the transmission signal is less than a prescribed value.
