PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tampon which appropriately demonstrates the effect of a formulation when inserted into a vaginal cavity. SOLUTION: The tampon has an absorber for absorbing liquid, and the absorber includes a coating part where the formulation is coated on the outer surface. The formulation is a mixture for which a medicinal component, a first water-soluble carrier which carries the medicinal component and is a main component in the formulation, and a second water-soluble carrier which carries the medicinal component and has a melting point lower than the melting point of the first water-soluble carrier are mixed.
