An FX index calculation server calculates index data which time-sequentially shows the change of the strength of each of eight currencies on the basis of rate data RD relating to 56 currency pairs from an RD generation server group. Based on the index data relating to the eight currencies, an FX automatic transaction server specifies a currency pair such that index data relating to both of a buying currency and a selling currency indicate the vicinity of zero, the index data relating to the buying currency is on an upward trend, and the index data relating to the selling currency is on a downward trend. A transaction between the specified currency pair is carried out.
