PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide remaining functions to a user even if trouble occurs partially. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a portable electronic apparatus comprising a first housing for housing a first housing-side electronic device and a second housing which is coupled to the first housing so as to move with respect to the first housing and houses a second housing-side electronic device and a battery. In order to deal with trouble that may occur in the first housing-side electronic device, a control device of the portable electronic apparatus determines whether or not any trouble occurs in the first housing-side electronic device in steps ST101 and ST102 and when it is determined that trouble occurs in the first housing-side electronic device, supply of power from the battery to the first housing-side electronic device is stopped in step ST103.
