PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reduction effect of noise by meshing noise while reducing a cost by reduction of a number of components in an automatic transmission having a plurality of transmission units equipped with a planetary gear mechanism. SOLUTION: In the transmission M, meshing parts H1 and H2 of planetary gear mechanisms P1 and P2 are housed in one gear chamber 19 formed by pushing members 75 and 175 of clutches 70 and 170 mutually separated in an axial direction, outer shaft parts 45b and 146 of carriers 40 and 140 constituting peripheral walls extended in the axial direction between the pushing members 75 and 175, and an outer member T of one-way clutches 80 and 180. The pushing member 75 and a gear side wall 54 of a ring gear 50, and the pushing member 175 and a gear side wall 133 of a sun gear 130 respectively form double walls in a radial direction region including the meshing parts H1 and H2 when viewed from the axial direction.
