PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve reception characteristics etc. SOLUTION: In this FFT window extending and generating method used for OFDM type modulation, an extended FFT window 1 is used for a receiving signal S12 having a time length equal to or longer than an OFDM-modulated effective symbol length WO and when the receiving signal S12 is demodulated by FFT processing, the extended FFT window 1 uses the receiving signal S12 having the time length equal to or longer than the effective symbol length W0. Extended windows W1 and W2 are provided before and after the effective symbol length W0, and receiving signals S12b and S12c in the extended windows W1 and W2 are added to the receiving signal 12a which has a time length within the effective symbol length W0 and the receiving signal 12a which is different in time position by the effective symbol length. An FFT window generating operation is carried out such that the total of both rates of the receiving signal S12a within the effective symbol length W0 and the receiving signals S12b and S12c within the extended windows W1 and W2 when the signals are added is not 1.
