<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory medium unit in which when it is connected to a computer other than a legitimate computer, memory information in a memory medium is erased but when it is connected to a maintenance PC, the memory information is not erased. <P>SOLUTION: In a ROM 13 of a computer 1, a unique secret key and a public key 16 are stored. In a DEC(disk enclosure controller) 21, a unique DE-ID 24 is stored. The DEC 21 requests the public key to a CPU 12 of the computer 1, and stores the received public key in an area 25 of a hard disk 22. Thereafter, the DEC 21 encrypts the DE-ID 24 with the public key in the area 25 at predetermined timing, requests decoding to the computer, compares decoded information with the public key in the area 25, and if they do not match, erases memory content in the hard disk 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
