PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game medium counting device achieving the configuration of notifying a player that the device is in a counting inhibition state of regulating the supply of game media to a hopper regardless of the device form configured to be installed in a bank of game machines or installed on a floor. SOLUTION: The game medium counting device 1A includes a hopper 2A where the game media are supplied, and a guide plate 3A which is provided on one side surface part 22A configuring the hopper 2A, has a display surface 30A where words for guiding the action of a player are displayed, and is opened and closed between an open position at which it projects to the inside of the hopper 2A and exposes the display surface 30A and a closed position at which it is withdrawn to the side surface part 22A of the hopper 2A.
