摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-rotation structure, for a snap ring for a balance chamber of a belt-type continuously variable transmission having a balance chamber that balances a centrifugal oil pressure generated in an oil pressure chamber on a movable sheave back surface, capable of preventing the wear of a back surface member and the snap ring of the balance chamber by preventing the independent rotation of the snap ring of the balance chamber. SOLUTION: A projecting portion 157b, which comes into contact with the end 158b of the snap ring 158 of the balance chamber when the snap ring 158 of the balance chamber rotates independently around a secondary shaft 150 within a ring groove 154, thereby restricting the independent rotation of the snap ring 158 of the balance chamber, is provided on the engaging portion 157a of a cover member 157. As a result, the independent rotation of the snap ring 158 of the balance chamber can be prevented and the wear of the cover member 157 and the snap ring 158 of the balance chamber can be prevented.
