Provided is a spray coating device in which carbon dioxide is substituted for part or all of a diluent solvent in paint, the spray coating device comprising a paint supply line that comprises a paint tank (1) and a paint high-pressure pump (2), a carbon dioxide supply line that comprises a liquid carbon dioxide cylinder (6), coolers (8, 12), and a liquid carbon dioxide high-pressure pump (9), a mixer (15) that mixes paint supplied from the paint supply line and carbon dioxide supplied from the carbon dioxide supply line, and a spray gun (19) that sprays a paint/carbon dioxide pressurized mixture obtained by the mixer (15) on an object to be coated, wherein a paint primary pressure regulation valve (4) for regulating the discharge pressure of the paint high-pressure pump (2) and returning a surplus to the paint tank (1) is provided in the paint supply line, and a carbon dioxide primary pressure regulation valve (11) for regulating the discharge pressure of the liquid carbon dioxide high-pressure pump (9) and returning a surplus to the liquid carbon dioxide cylinder (6) is provided in the carbon dioxide supply line. The generation of VOC can be greatly reduced by this configuration.
