An improvement is disclosed for the floor of a workout room in a fitness centre, for mounting workout stations having stacks of weights which can be selected in a motorised and remotely controlled manner from a station control panel, where the station is mounted on the floor of a workout room designed for the installation of the equipment. The floor (2) of the fitness centre bears for each station-weight stack assembly, two robust boxes (17) buried in the floor (2) and having a top opening at the level of the floor (2); one of the boxes is located under the point where the base (1) of the workout station is arranged, and the other in front of the corresponding weight stack (11), preferably at a distance from the station; the two boxes (17) are interconnected by at least two ducts (18 and 19) located under the floor (2) of the fitness centre, and a bearing (20) for a cable deflection pulley (21) is secured inside each box (17). Each of the pulleys (21) is flush with the floor and guides the horizontal strand of the steel cable (8) in the centre of one of the ducts (18); one of the pulleys (21) deflects the steel cable to a pulley (13) arranged at the top of the stack (11), while the other pulley (21) deflects the same cable (8) to the pulley (6) of the workout station; the other duct (19), which is parallel to the duct (18) for receiving the cable (8), guides the electric cables from the station control panel (23) to the stack (11). |
