The dryer (2) has a holder (9) for a radiator i.e. UV radiator. A support rail (7) indirectly or directly receives the holder. The holder is connected to the support rail at a distance to the support rail and is movable along the support rail, where the radiator is varied in an inclination angle in vertical orientation. A length-variable spacer (11) is movable in the support rail, where the spacer is connected to the support rail at an end and to the holder at an opposite end. The radiator is selected from one of UV-radiator (15), infrared-radiator and electron emitting radiator. An independent claim is also included for a method for drying and/or hardening protection, lacquer or paint layers using a radiation dryer module i.e. UV-dryer module.
