The present invention relates to the communication technology field. Disclosed are a task switching method, server node and cluster system, wherein the task switching method includes: a first server node obtains an update timestamp of a second server node from a database; the first server node determines whether the second server node is invalid according to the update time of the update timestamp; if the second server node is invalid, the first server node updates the tasks in the database bound to the second server node to be bound to a valid server node, and transmits to the valid server node the definitions of the tasks bound to the second server node. By using the technical solution provided by the embodiments of the invention, tasks bound to an invalid server node can be performed at other, valid server nodes, improving cluster system reliability.
