<p>Method for sealing waterways and repairing joints and cracks in dams and the foundation rock without the need to discharge the reservoir and without interruption of operation, constituted by the repair and sealing of fissures, detachment of the foundation contact and discloses in the rock in dams, by means of the high-pressure injection of polymers, thereby restoring structural integrity and sealing waterways without discharging the reservoir and with service being maintained. First, a plan is drawn up of the fractures and of the drill holes to be injected, which are drilled and examined using a TV camera and geophysical probes with a view to ascertaining the extent of the discontinuities. Next, high-pressure injectors are installed, the area to be injected is washed and polymers, with viscosities even greater than 100,000 cP, at pressure of 600 atm or higher, are injected, which displace the water and fill the fractures, restoring, once the resin has hardened, the initial structural and mechanical characteristics thereof.</p> |
