<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label printer capable of being miniaturized with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to the label printer performing printing in a label R temporarily attached to a belt-like pasteboard D. A platen roller 31 for performing printing in the label R and a separating bar 35 are arranged in a body part. When a paper roll storage lid is closed, a printing head 32 and a separating roller 33 arranged in the paper roll storage lid contact with the platen roller 31. When the printing is performed in the label R, the belt-like pasteboard D passes between the printing head 32 and the platen roller 31, and after turning around the separating bar 35, it passes between the separating roller 33 and the platen roller 31.
