PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device that maintains high reliability by preventing a lubricant from spilling out from corners of walls, contaminating other optical components, when shafts of a lens feed device of an optical pickup and a housing are integrally formed. SOLUTION: A housing has three wall surfaces 3, 4, 5 whose horizontal cross-section is substantially U-shaped. A corresponding part of the wall surface supports a shaft, a lubricant holding wall 4 extending from the wall surface to the shaft is formed, and an end surface of the holding wall is formed as a shaft 2, so that the shaft is integrally formed with the housing. A radius of curvature or an angle formed on the substantially U-shaped cross-section of the wall surface is set larger than a radius of curvature or an angle formed between the wall surface and a lubricant holding part, which prevents a lubricant from wetting the wall surface to spill out, holding the lubricant on the holding wall, and thus attaining the target.
