PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of supplying efficiently, inexpensively and stably a radioactive molybdenum, without using an enriched<SP>235</SP>U, and without generating a large amount of waste fuel of high strength having a long half-life period. SOLUTION: A fast neutron is emitted from an accelerator to a raw material target, containing<SP>100</SP>Mo as a target nuclei, to produce (n, 2n) reaction for emitting two neutrons by irradiation of one neutron, and<SP>99</SP>Mo is generated thereby. A waste<SP>100</SP>Mo generated by a nuclear fission reaction of<SP>235</SP>U in a nuclear reactor is preferably used as the nuclei of the raw material target, from the view point of enhancing the generation efficiency.
