PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a power unit by shortening the axial length of an output shaft in an output shaft braking device of the power unit. SOLUTION: In the output shaft braking device of the power unit, slide-contact members 44 are provided on the shaft ends of the output shaft to which driving side transmission wheels constituting a part of a power transmission means provided to the output shaft included in the power unit and between driving wheels are fixed, and are capable of coming into slide-contact with a rotor according to the operation of the rotor rotating with the output shaft and an operation element. In this case, the rotor 43 is directly attached to the driving side transmission wheels 37.
