PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly bear a load from a human being by a mechanism that is not of a motor-driven type when a lid is used as an armrest. SOLUTION: A box 3 ascends to and descends from a lifted position and a lowered position by the energy accumulation and elasticity of a lifting spring 15. In both the lifted and lowered positions, a position support 34 serves as a bar to a positioning part 7, so that the box 3 is retained at the lowered position or the lifted position by the mechanical fitting of the positioning part 7 at the side of the box 3 and the position support 34 at the side of a bracket 12 in a direction intersecting the lifting direction of the box 3 perpendicularly.
