Disclosed is (i) a compound which makes it possible to economically and easily detect or assay immunoglobulins under the same conditions regardless of animal species and (ii) a method for detecting or assaying an immunoglobulin through use of the compound. Use of a peptide carrying a labeling agent and having activity of binding to an immunoglobulin and an immunoglobulin complex makes it possible to economically and easily detect or assay immunoglobulins under the same conditions regardless of animal species.
