A battery module is provided with a battery block composed of a plurality of battery cells, and a voltage detecting circuit (state detecting circuit) which detects the voltage between the terminals of each battery cell, and is also provided with a flexible printed circuit board wherein a voltage detecting line which electrically connects the positive electrode terminal or the negative electrode terminal of the battery cell with the voltage detecting circuit (state detecting circuit) is integrally formed with a substrate composed of a flexible material.
