<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a wireless communication even with the other end of communication that is a limited-band terminal capable of receiving only limited frequencies. <P>SOLUTION: The terminal includes a frequency channel assigning unit (10) for assigning frequency channels, a terminal reception quality information processing unit (6) for calculating an optimum modulation rate and the required transmission power for each of subcarriers, a subcarrier power control unit (12) for controlling the transmission power level for each of the subcarriers and a decision unit (10) for determining the reception bandwidth of the other end of communication and further determining whether the other end of communication is an all-band terminal capable of receiving all the frequency channels within a system band or a limited-band terminal capable of receiving only limited frequencies. If the other end of communication is a limited-band terminal, then the transmission power of all or part of the subcarriers is reduced for frequency channels that are adjacent to the reception band assigned to the other end of communication and that are to be assigned to different other ends of communication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
