<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector and a device equipped with the connector in which a damage to pins is prevented and an electrical connection can be surely attained. <P>SOLUTION: The connector includes a frame part having an inner space formed by a pair of opposing sidewalls and a bottom connecting the sidewalls, a plurality of pins projecting in a column shape from the bottom in side the space, a cover which has a plurality of holes where the pins penetrate and a magnet and is movable, when guided by the pins inside the space, between a first position where the pins are protected and a second position where the pins are exposed so as to make the pins connected electrically with an external member, a detecting part for outputting a detected signal when an insertion of the external member arranged outside the frame part is detected, an electromagnet arranged at a position opposing the magnet on the bottom, and a controlling part which moves the cover to the first position by controlling the electromagnet in a normal ON state where an electric field of the same polarity with the magnet is generated during a period when a detected signal is not inputted, and moves the cover to the second position by controlling the electromagnet in an OFF state or an inversed ON state where an electric field of an opposite polarity is generated, when the detected signal is input. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
