<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of executing collation functions by a bar code reader single body and further, simply accessing a function useful to the functions. <P>SOLUTION: The optical information reader comprising a head part having an irradiating part for irradiating a bar code with light at a front and a handle part extended downward from the head part, wherein the head part has a gun type shape projecting from the handle part forward in an irradiating direction of light includes: a trigger switch provided at the front near a boundary with the head part of the handle part to give an irradiation instruction to the irradiating part; a function switch provided on a top surface opposite from the bottom with the handle part of the head part provided thereon to execute a prescribed function that is set in advance; and a control means for receiving an operation of the trigger switch to make the irradiating part emit light and receiving an operation of the function switch to execute a preset function. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
