PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display for a vehicle capable of further properly informing another vehicle or pedestrians and the like, as compared with a conventional one, about backward traveling of a vehicle when the vehicle travels backward. SOLUTION: When determining that an R range is input as a target shift range (Yes in a step S11), a T-ECU determines whether a present range is in the R range or not (a step S12). The T-ECU turns-on an indication indicating the R range in a range display, when determining that the present range is in the R range (Yes in the step S12), and turns-on a backup light (a step S13). Meanwhile, in the step S12, the T-ECU turns-on the backup light when determining that the present range is not in the R range (No in the step S12), and turns-off the indication of a shift range in the range display.
