PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially stretched polyester film roll for vapor deposition which is excellent in gas barrier property and adhesiveness with a vapor deposition layer up to a winding core part of the film roll before vapor deposition processing in the long-size wound film roll after vapor deposition processing. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing biaxially stretched polyester film roll for vapor deposition having a winding length of 50,000 m or less includes a process of winding a film provided after passing through a longitudinally stretching process: an afterward process of applying an easily adhesive coating agent onto at least one side surface of a polyester film; a drying process of the easily adhesive coating agent; a laterally stretching process; and a heat treatment process in the order, wherein, in the drying process, an environmental temperature upon the drying is made to be 50 to 70°C and a drying time is made to be 3 s or more.
